We are an international team serving clients living on both sides of the Atlantic, with headquarters in New York and London. We are passionate about exploring the frontiers of Health, Medicine, and Human Performance Science, working to make the latest advances available to our members.

Our drive to be the best possible stewards of our members’ health powers everything we do. We are not gurus or dictators - we acknowledge the answers our members seek are neither simple nor formulaic and require a commitment to a continual, rather than episodic, relationship between member and care team.

Dr Paul Grewal, MD

Chief Medical Officer

Paul Grewal, M.D., is an internal medicine physician, author, and speaker who focuses on data-driven nutrition and lifestyle strategies for metabolic health and longevity. Dr. Paul Grewal is co-author of the New York Times best-selling book Genius Foods, an evidence-based guide to dementia prevention and cognitive optimization. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University, and studied medicine at Rutgers Medical School. He currently splits his time in private practice and as a scientific advisor in New York City.

Dr Alex Grewal, MD

Medical Director, Mental Health

Alex believes in both nature and nurture, and provides a trauma-based integrative approach to therapy. He develops a personalized treatment strategy that utilizes psychodynamic and CBT modalities supplemented by activity and nutritional planning, mindfulness, with the option of conservative medication-management. Alex is adept at treating all standard psychiatric disorders as well as focusing in addressing the trauma-related, substance, food, Relationship/Interpersonal, gender, sexual, and cultural problems that often accompany them. People are usually surprised to find out Alex is a doctor. For those who expect psychiatrists to be robotic, emotionally absent, disconnected from reality, or unable to understand the struggles of an average person's life, Alex brings an open and connected approach. When not caring for our members, Alex is a musician, painter, and mechanic.

Dr Jack Kreindler

Head of Research

Dr. Jack Kreindler MBBS BSc(Phys) DipMM is a physician, physiologist, researcher and serial technology entrepreneur. Alongside his career as a doctor in emergency and high altitude medicine, for 25 years Jack has founded and advised pioneering physiological and mental health ventures focusing on transforming what patients are capable of and scaling health system capacity using connected devices, remote monitoring and machine intelligence. In 2007, he founded The Centre for Health and Human Performance in London, applying elite sport science to help not just the greatest athletes, but also those facing their toughest health challenges. Jack advises and lectures globally on the future of medicine, human performance and longevity and serves as an Honorary Research Fellow in Public Health at Imperial College London.

Dr Ran Crooke

Medical Director, Human Performance

Dr Ranulf Crooke MBBS BSc(Hons) MRCGP DFSRH MSc SEM attained both his physiology and medical degrees from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Medical School in London, gaining a distinction in Clinical Sciences. He was awarded Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners and subsequently went on to study for a Masters in Sports and Exercise Medicine, which was awarded with merit from the University of Bath, researching initially the effects of high-intensity interval training on patients with prostate cancer and, latterly, the effects of physical activity on cognitive function. He ran a primary care practice in the Cotswolds for 10 years and, during this time, also worked in sports medicine and NHS musculoskeletal clinics. Combining his previous experience rowing internationally and his clinical interests, he now focuses on the applied science of longevity, performance and physiology.

Dr Jim Brown

Medical Director, Sleep

Dr Jim Brown MBBS BSc MRCP DipIBLM/BSLM is a Consultant Physician specialising in Respiratory, Sleep and Lifestyle Medicine with clinical experience spanning diverse medical specialities, four continents and more than 25 years. Author of multiple peer reviewed research papers and an academic book chapter; he has deep interest and experience in complex case management, biological rhythms, human performance and health optimisation.

Dr Andrew Crockett

Medical Director, Human Performance

Major Andrew Crockett MBBS BSc(Hons) MSc ENT MRCGP MRCS DOHNS RAMC (Rtd.) graduated in both Medicine and Physiology from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’s medical school with a special interest in altitude medicine and extreme environmental effects on the human body. He attained Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons and a Master’s from University College London. He specialised in ENT and in diagnostic and interventional radiology prior to training as a GP. He has also served as a doctor and paratrooper in the British Army. He has represented Great Britain in Alpine Skiing and Rowing and the British Armed forces in Ski-Mountaineering and has held national titles in Kung Fu. His life has been shaped by personal tragedy following the death of his younger brother to cancer, which allowed him to experience disease from a patient’s point of view and reconsider the supportive measures patients may require through both acute and chronic disease. The loss of one so young to cancer which sparked Andrew’s interest in performance and longevity.

Maria Sophocles, MD

Medical Director, Women's Health

Maria Sophocles is a gynecologist and the founder and medical director of Women’s Healthcare of Princeton, a progressive and personalized clinical practice in Princeton, New Jersey. A fellow of several international and U.S. medical societies, recognized for her contributions to menopausal and sexual health for women, she is known for having pioneered the use of laser to regenerate vaginal tissue in the U.S. Maria has a BA with honors in English from Duke University, and an MD from Thomas Jefferson University. She trained in Baltimore at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center of Johns Hopkins Hospital and at the University of Maryland. She has been a travel writer, an NIH researcher, has practiced in Switzerland, speaks French and Italian and loves swimming in the Aegean Sea.

Jess Hardy, ND

Director of Nutrition & Coaching

Jessica Hardy is a naturopathic physician who specializes in lifestyle medicine. She came to understand the profound importance of optimal nutrition, exercise, sleep, and stress management as she navigated her own health journey early in her college years. In addition to her naturopathic doctoral degree, Jess has a degree in clinical mental health counseling and carries certifications in health coaching, personal training, and yoga. She uses her expertise across these areas of wellness to assist her patients optimize their health and create new healthful habits. In her free time, she can be found honing her culinary arts skills, hanging with her dog, or jetting off to the surf.

Dennis Hoop

Lead Exercise Physiologist

Dennis Hoop is a New York city based certified holistic and fitness coach with a revolutionary integrated approach to health and wellness that includes personal training, nutrition counseling and kPNI therapies related to functional medicine. Dennis is a certified personal trainer (CPT) through the National Academy of Sports and Medicine (NASM). Dennis earned his Masters of Science in Sports, Exercise and Health at the University of Salzburg in Austria. He is also a certified personal CrossFit trainer focusing on strength and body conditioning. Dennis passion for discovering the interconnections between body, mind and soul was the force that led him to achieve a Diploma in Psychoneuroimmunology, a science that connects the psychological, nervous, endocrine (hormonal) and immune system from the Natura Foundation in Germany.

Tom Cowan

Lead Exercise Physiologist

Tom is a registered Clinical Physiologist with The Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP). He is accredited by both the British Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation (BACPR) and the Register of Exercise Professionals and has a First Class Honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science from Loughborough University. When not caring for Curia patients, Tom likes to practice what he preaches by enjoying being physically active and exercising. He is a keen footballer and long-distance runner and enjoys a variety of water and winter sports.

Dr Federica Amati

Head of Nutritional Science, UK

Dr Federica Amati PhD ANutr BSc. (Hons) MPH MSc gained her PhD in Clinical Medicine Research from Imperial College London, has a masters in Public Health and is an Association for Nutrition (AfN) accredited Nutritionist. She is actively involved in nutrition, public health and mental health research at Imperial College London with the NIHR and the WHO Collaborating Centre, and teaches medical students in her post as Nutrition Topic Lead. She is an Assistant Director at the NNedPro Global Institute for Food, Nutrition and Health, an award-winning interdisciplinary think-tank.

Christine Claypoole

Relationship Counsellor 

Christine has worked in the field of mental health for over a decade. She has developed and implemented behavior health and substance use programs for online platforms, hospitals, and counties. Christine focuses on both couples and individuals and the multiple challenges they may face in relationships. She works with people in both traditional and consensual non monogamy/open relationships. She works with adults of all ages and is experienced in neurodivergent, alternative, and LGBTQ issues. Christine takes a practical approach – identifying unwanted patterns, learning skills to reframe and repair, and tools to help people communicate better. She loves her work and has deep gratitude that she gets to do it daily.

Sue Drew

Coach

Sue is a Functional Medicine Health Coach with a passion for helping people perform more effectively in their business and personal lives. Seeking to discover the root causes of her client’s issues and not just treat their symptoms, Sue acts as a non-judgemental ally guiding and supporting clients towards realistic and sustainable lifestyle changes with regards to their diet, movement, sleep, stress, time management and relaxation so that they live better, feel better, think more clearly and have more energy. Sue spent most of her career in the Investment Banking world as an executive headhunter so understands demanding careers and lack of time. She is married with 3 young adult children. Although she has lived in London England for 36 years, she maintains her Canadian ties and values.

Mia Ives-Flores

Patient Care Director

Marrying logical and creative problem solving is Mia’s speciality. With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Minor in Art History, she approaches her work as Dr. Paul Grewal’s executive assistant systematically while always striving to think outside the box. She endeavors to create an experience that leaves our patients feeling valued and well cared for. Pivoting from a career in the restaurant industry and fine dining, Mia has been able to seamlessly translate her knowledge of customer service, attention to detail and collaborative spirit to the world of concierge medicine. When she is away from her computer, you can often find her hiking with her dog, exploring museums and galleries or making clay miniatures.

Heather Richardson

Patient Care Director

Heather is a highly skilled business professional with an MBA degree. She has several years of experience as a Clinical Director, where she has honed her organizational and leadership skills. With a can-do attitude and a passion for helping others, Heather is a major badass with a heart of gold. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her two adorable children and her furry best friends Franklin and Eleanor the English Bulldogs.

Jolita Varaskiene

Director of Billing and EA to Dr. Kreindler

Jolita Varaskiene is an experienced accounting bookkeeper. With a keen eye for details her responsibilities include overseeing the overall financial data, ledger entries and reports. Her commitment to providing excellent service for over 12 years helps the company to create and build a better business. As well as having book keeping experience she helps with executive administrative tasks. Jolita obtained a Bachelor‘s degree in business management. She gained her experience doing several freelance bookkeeping jobs in London. She also earned two AAT certificates in accounting. When she is not organizing financial transactions and administrative tasks, she is a massive outdoor enthusiast with loads of hiking activities.

Trevor Reddell

Director of Information Systems and EA to Dr. Alex Grewal

Trevor is a methodical, detail oriented individual who serves dual roles of both Executive Assistant to his lifelong friend Dr. Alex Grewal, as well as Director of Information Systems for Curia. Trevor maintains user accounts for both internal practice systems, as well as our CRM. Maintaining a high level of security and patient privacy. Recently shifting his career focus from the construction industry, overseeing large crews in a fast paced, ever evolving environment, Trevor takes a blue collar, can do, whatever it takes attitude towards his work with the practice. Trevor is a musician of over 20 years. Managing and drumming for many national touring acts, and continues to perform as well as produce and engineer music.

Yoni Gottlieb

Client Success Lead, UK 

Yoni ensures the smooth running and coordination of the patient services on the UK side of the clinic. Yoni has 16 years policing experience - successfully managing people, information and risk - followed by 10 years in the private, sporting and charity sectors, building and running processes to uphold robust clinical standards and ensure the best possible client outcomes.
